Tens of thousands without power as lightning, hail

After a week of severe storms, giant hail, destructive winds and relentless rain have once again smashed parts of Queensland, plunging more families into the dark and sending two people to hospital after lightning strikes.
The cleanup mission is now so massive help has been called in from interstate.
Coastal areas from Rockhampton all the way to the NSW border remained on alert this morning as the Bureau of Meteorology warned of isolated minor to moderate flooding thanks to the relentless downpour but a severe thunderstorm warning was cancelled.
